Since its founding in 2015, AARK has hosted hundreds of artists in residence from around the world. We are proud that so many have chosen the Archipelago Art Residency in Korpo, and we look forward to welcoming you, too.
The residency building is unique in Korpo. Built in the late 1950s, it was once home to ferry crews and their families. Its striking red-and-white exterior and proximity to the ferry terminal make it an iconic and easily recognizable landmark. However, what resident artists tend to love most is its proximity to nature. The residency is 100 meters from the seashore and is surrounded by forest.
